Cumulus congestus - analog and digital
On course Liege (EBLG) when flying through a cumulus. The weather option of the Moving Terrain is a great help in knowing what´s ahead and avoiding when in IMC. Combined with the JeppView data it gives a detailed situational awareness of where in the approach what precipitation can be expected.
Pic 1) Immediately before entering (nothing to see in it - besides bumps and rain)
Pic 2) A view on the moving terrain showing the cell nicely
Pic 3) When taxing back to the apron and the cloud seen in the back

Sonnenschein
so gibt es doch noch den Mond und die Sterne
und die Lampe am Winterabend.
Es ist so viel schönes Licht in der Welt.

1, 2, 3 ... Action!
A beautiful day today, with a bright blue sky! Henrik brought Lola to Salzburg, where we flew her all together to Munich.
Today's crew:
Joerg Lamprecht, Captain of the day.
He didn't want to let Lola go, but we explained him a twinco needs both of the motors to fly optimal... He took off then :-)
Henrik Seeger, First Officer of the Day
I now understand why Henrik aaaaalways wants to fly. It all has to do with bratwurst and beer.
I need to admit I am not soooo good in managing soft drinks. But I do help spotting traffic :-)
And the team in action;
The N8977Y pilots will give you all the details on VFR-flying from Salzburg, on clearings for take-off and landing, on motors turning right because they're warmed up and - from today on - you can get all the details on beer and bratwurst in Munich ;-)
Her name is Lola
Henrik got it wrong. He calls her Buena. And that’s just not her name.
So, Henrik, take a chair. Sit down and look at her.
No Henrik, … a good look.
Long, white wings.
A touch of black.
A woman. No, a lady.
A classic elegance.
She looks at you. Demanding your attention. And there is just no turning away.
Women around her vanish. People turn their head. Cameras’ flashing lights.
Barry Manilow’s showgirl.
And when she flies… You give yourself to all the blue in the sky.
You won’t fall. An angel.
Die Deutsche Marlene Dietrich in “die blaue Engel”. In Kassel.
Joerg, Michael, you…
In love. No turning away. Never.
That’s why her name is Lola.
The showgirl of Copacabana.
The Marlene Dietrich of Kassel.
But, Henrich, seen every man gives his affair a secret name (ask Joerg ;-)…
You can call her Buena.
Just you… sssst!

There seems to be no need to learn to fly with three pilots on my side :-)
They don’t wear the white shirts with stripes on their shoulders. And no kepis either.
But I do call each of them “Mister multi-engine instrument-rated private pilot”.
And they adore it :-)

River run ...
When departing VFR from Egelsbach northbound the normal procedure is via "Tango" and the Metro VOR.
On the info Frequency of "Langen Info" at 119.15 you can also request a midfield crossing at Frankfurt Intl. in 1500 feet which brings you directly to the reporting point "November".
If you are lucky you will be seeing those beautiful pictures ...
